Dr. Addie J. Briggs , Chief Visionary Officer
Dr. Addie J. Briggs is board certified in pediatrics. She received her bachelor of science with honors from Howard University in Washington, DC. She then went on to earn her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Virginia) in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Briggs completed a primary care pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 2001 Dr. Briggs started East End Pediatrics, following her passion to serve the needs of her hometown community in Richmond and her goal to encourage kids to follow their dreams and strive for excellence. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Richmond Pediatric Society. Dr. Briggs served as the Virginia Medical Director of Reach Out and Read for 10 years.
After 22 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Briggs retired to dedicate her time to Fitness DAWGS, the business she started with her childhood friend Dr. Kim Evans in 2017. Until 2019 Fitness DAWGS was more of a concept on paper waiting to introduce Diet And Workout = Great Success to the world.
Dr. Briggs has earned a 1st degree black belt in Dai-Ichi Shotokan and a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, traveling and participating in church activities.
Dr. Kim F. Evans, Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Kim F. Evans is the Superintendent of Greensville County Public Schools. In this capacity, she is responsible for the allocation of all resources to ensure a quality education for the students in Greensville and Emporia.
Dr. Evans works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and building principals to provide a safe environment for teachers and students and to improve the engagement of students in their own learning. She also works closely with her team to improve the academic achievement of all students. She has served as a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Career and Technical Education, and Assistant Superintendent.
Dr. Evans is President of the Women Education Leaders in Virginia (WELV), an organization dedicated to supporting and nurturing women leaders in Virginia. Dr. Evans is a proud product of Petersburg Public Schools. She graduated from Norfolk State – where she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – and Virginia State Universities. She serves as an adjunct professor for Virginia State University and James Madison University.
Brian Robertson, Marketing Director
Brian Robertson, founder and CEO of Marion Marketing Global, LLC provides marketing solutions for businesses, organizations and individuals aimed to expand their brand and grow their revenue. Strategic thinking and planning involving the use of promotional items, traditional media as well as new media platforms are combined to help grow a particular brand! Brian is a Richmond native who has been in the world of marketing and advertising for over thirty years, working for CBS TV, Fox Richmond, Comcast Cablevision and Radio One. In 2014 he founded Marion Marketing Global, LLC where he has developed relationships individuals, clients and organizations, helping them expand their brand and grow. Brian joined Fitness DAWGS in 2017 and is responsible for marketing and promoting the Fitness DAWGS brand.
Intern of Communications and Marketing
Alana Harrington is a Chester, Virginia native. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Communications at Virginia State University.
While studying at Virginia State University, she participated in the Trojan Introduction Program, the Trojan Leadership Program, she also joined a mentoring organization the T.R.U.E. Foundation Inc, and worked at the university radio station, 91.3 WVST.
Upon graduating Alana has continued to mentor individuals and continues to exercise her strategies working closely with the Fitness DAWGS team as a Social Media Intern.
